In August of 2021, 19 members and affiliates of Klasse Klima gathered at the Stechlin Institute in Neuroofen, Brandenburg, to reflect on two years of activism in creative education and to consolidate forthcoming projects. During the one-week residency, the group built the basis for the steady and sustainable continuation of its local seminar at UdK (University of Arts) while simultaneously accomplishing conceptual and technological groundwork for the establishment of a decentralized, transnational network of initiatives working towards a structural ecological shift in creative education and beyond. As an organizational and financial framework for all future activities, the group officially founded a non-profit association striving for a non-profit status. All work sessions were surrounded and inspired by the architecture and landscape of the Institute, a former Prussian mansion, today a living sculpture based on eco-sufficiency, accomodating working artists and activists in the woods.
